Commonwealth vrs. Jacob Stubblebine

Copy of original Court docket located at the Chester County Archives, in West Chester, PA.
For fornication on oath of Iula J. Bennett charging the defendant with having (he bing a single young man) comitted Fornication and all manner of Lewdness with a certain Lydia Williamson and Hannah Williamson and others. He having also lain , and had criminal connections with Elizabeth Stubblebine, his own sister.
1842, December 31. Warrent Issued to Defendant. Defdt. brought up he does ot deny the charge. Bail required - Defdt. refuses to give Bail.
1843, January 2, Defdt. committed to the county prison.
Iula J. Bennett...to testify; Catherine Stubblebine and Mary Stubblebine also to testify at .. sessions.
Curator Note: Jacob Stubblebine was found not guilty of these charges.
